Review: Sininen viikonloppu
From happiness to pain’
It shook my wrist, gave me goosebumps, lifted me up from the floor into the air. The voices of Jonna Järnefelt and Jukka Leppilampi sound well together. Its sound is punchy, simple, powerful. Leppilampi’s rhythmic music crept into my skin. The softness of Sami Koskela’s bongo drums is like a touch of the lips on the cheek, the set of bells, prisms and seashells like the flight of swallows in the sunshine.
Those words of Heimo Hataka . Touching everyday poetry about what hurts. What is it to be sick of happiness and to come sober from grief? The trio’s singing evening has an everyday and unpretentious halo. The music is something between Bo Kaspers, Norah Jones and Agitprop . What was left was a good feeling and a strong hunger to hear more.
