The discounts are valid for performances from Monday to Thursday (does not apply to premieres). For Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances, all tickets are priced at the basic ticket price. There are no discounts on children’s ticket prices, foyer shows, stand-up clubs, and some visits.

For family theatre performances, children’s tickets are also available on weekends. The assistant’s discount ticket is valid for all performances.

Discounts on basic tickets:

• Pensioners: 3 € discount on the price of the basic ticket
• Schoolchildren and students: -50% of the basic ticket price
• For a group of 20-29 people, 2 € discount/ticket, incl. 1 free ticket
• For groups of 30-99 people, 3 € discount/ticket, incl. 1 free ticket
• For a group of 100 or more people, 4 € discount/ticket, incl. 2 free tickets

Assistant ticket

An assistant’s ticket is free of charge for a spectator who needs an assistant (reservations from the theatre’s own ticket office).

Theatre tickets

Theatre tickets can be purchased and reserved from the theatre’s own ticket office for same-day performances against a valid theatre card. The price of tickets for spoken plays is €15 per piece and €25 per ticket for musicals. Max. 2 tickets/performance. The discount is available on all days of the week, subject to availability.

Tickets can be booked by phone from the Helsinki City Theatre ticket office. Contact information and opening hours can be found further up this page.

TO REDEEM A TICKET RESERVATION:

• No additional subscription fees will be charged when redeeming tickets at the City Theatre’s ticket office, Ensi linja 2.
• Ticket.fi sales points charge a subscription fee of €3 per order. (The Stockmann department store in the centre of Helsinki also charges its own service fee of €2.50 per ticket.)
• The sales points also charge a service fee of €1.60 per ticket for free tickets for group bookings and for an assistant’s ticket, in addition to the above fees.

  PDF ticket can be printed or displayed directly from the screen of a mobile device. Tickets are delivered in PDF format on the My information page of the online store. Tickets can also be opened/saved via the link in the order confirmation.
• Mobile ticket: delivery 0 €
  -The Mobile Ticket in HTML format can be used without a separate application and it can be easily opened with a mobile device’s browser. You can save the ticket to your mobile device, Apple Wallet/other wallet app. The mobile ticket is not delivered as a text message and is not intended to be printed.
• Postal delivery by letter
  – Delivery to Finland: €10.00 per order
  – Delivery to other European countries: €20.00 per order
  – Delivery outside Europe / UPS courier delivery to Finland: €35.00 per order

Redeemed tickets will not be refunded. For changing tickets for the second day, we charge €10 per ticket (€5 per ticket for Family Theatre performances). Change requests only by phone to the theatre’s own ticket office: 09 39 40 22 no later than the day before the performance.

You can buy yourself a ticket to the performance with a cultural benefit by visiting the Helsinki City Theatre’s ticket office. The cultural benefit cannot be used to purchase a gift card.

You can earn with theatre tickets, and the Helsinki City Theatre gives you the opportunity to do so!

Theatre tickets sold as fundraising are a nice addition to the coffers of an association, sports club or school class, for example. Earn money in a fun way for common small or large needs!

You can buy a gift card either conveniently from the Ticket.fi online store or by visiting our store. All our gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and you can choose the amount yourself.

1) E-commerce gift card: buy online – use online!

In an online store gift card, you can choose an image from a different option. The online store gift card is purchased from the online store, printed out by yourself and it can only be used as a means of payment in the Ticket.fi online store. At the purchase stage, a Ticket.fi subscription fee of €1.5 + 0.65% of the order will be added to the price.

2) A gift card that can be used as payment at sales points (HKT’s own ticket office and Ticket.fi sales points)

This is the traditional gift card that looks like a theatre ticket that can be used as a means of payment when buying tickets to our performances at the Helsinki City Theatre’s ticket office (Ensi linja 2) and at Ticket.fi sales points.

Buy at the theatre’s ticket office – save on service fees
When you shop at our own store Ensi linja 2, you save on service fees and can specify the amount you want to pay to the nearest euro.

Buy at Ticket.fi sales points all over Finland
You can also buy a Helsinki City Theatre sales point gift card at all Ticket.fi sales points around the country. A Ticket.fi subscription fee of €3 will be added to the purchase.

Buy online – the gift card will be delivered to your home
If the sales points are located within a difficult distance and you want to buy a traditional gift card that can be paid for at the sales points and the theatre’s ticket office, you can also make a purchase in the online store. In this case, you can choose an amount from the price ranges of €5 to €500. In addition to the value of the gift card in the online store, a Ticket.fi subscription fee of €1.5 + 0.65% of the order will be added to the total amount. The gift card will be delivered to your home by post (you cannot print it yourself) and the postage fee is €10.

Helsinki City Theatre’s official sales channels include its own ticket offices, Ensi linja 2 and the theatre’s lobbies, as well as the Ticket.fi online store and sales points. We do not recommend buying tickets from other channels. This will help you avoid possible scam attempts and overpricing of tickets.

Sales at R-kiosks have ended on 31.12.2025.

• Make your reservation well in advance. It is better to book a few extra tickets at first, as it is not always possible to arrange additional seats for the most popular shows.
• Up-to-date information on group discounts and other information related to ticket reservations can be found on this page.
• Check your email to make sure you received your written booking confirmation. Please note that messages with attachments may sometimes end up in the spam folder.
• For group bookings, the confirmation/redemption date is no later than 1 month before the performance date. The date can be found in the booking confirmation. (Please also remember to cancel your reservation if necessary.)
• Collect binding registrations from the participants before confirming the number of tickets for the theatre. At the same time, ask them to indicate any special diets if you plan to order intermission catering or dine during the performance.
• Tickets can be redeemed not only at the theatre’s ticket office but also at all Lippu.fi sales points, where the service fee is €3 per order. You can find the sales points on the Ticket.fi website
• Tickets can also be invoiced, in which case they will be delivered by email or post of your choice once the invoice has been paid. The default payment period of the invoice is 7 days, the invoicing fee is 10 €/order.
• Tickets sent to email are in a single file with one ticket on each page. You can print the tickets on paper or use software suitable for sharing the pdf file when delivering tickets to the group members.
• Write down the seat numbers of all the group members in case someone loses their ticket. Tickets can be printed again when the correct seat number is known.
• Reservations for meals and intermission catering should be made as soon as the final group size has been confirmed. Catering for all stages is provided by Sodexo.
• Please contact the theatre’s ticket office if you have any questions about your visit to the theatre.
