The musical WICKED is an experience like no other

We have been waiting for this all summer. The premiere of the musical Wicked at the end of August. And the wait was indeed rewarded. An absolutely great experience. Magic, magic, witchcraft, enchantment, the brilliance of colors, great singing, excellent music, breathtaking acrobatics in a delightful story.

Director Hans Berndtsson now has his third work on stage at the Helsinki City Theatre. Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast preceded this musical, and they were known to be liked by the audience. No wonder, then, that expectations are high for the musical Wicked. Already from the first steps, from the first tunes, you can sense that something great is coming.

Wicked, which has gained popularity as a cult musical around the world, tells a story of soul mate, difference and even a little bit of magic with amazing music. It’s probably the best musical story of all time! The story and the music are captivating! On stage, there will be a fast-paced performance that will not leave anyone cold.

Maija Ylipää and Anna-Maija Tuokko – Elphaba and Galinda are magically wonderful young women whose singing touches you and makes you forget the place completely. The show is built around these gorgeous women, and since the rest of the team is also competent, you can’t do anything else during the show but enjoy yourself.

Musicals like Wicked are not seen every autumn, so I warmly recommend this musical to anyone who wants to feel the magic and enjoy versatile music. A bus full of Kirkkonummi residents saw this performance at the pre-premiere.
