Tarzan is amazing and has a sense of humor.

Expectations were high at the premiere of Tarzan the musical, and they were fulfilled in a grand manner. The musical is an amazing masterpiece of young actors and dancers, in whose company you can enjoy yourself from the first moment to the amazing end.

Almost all of the main roles are double-cast. At the premiere, Sanna Majuri, who played the monkey mother Fish, shone especially with her singing skills, moving and gesticulating almost like a real monkey. The pack leader Kerchak, whose role was played by Panu Vauhkonen, did not leave us cold with his roar either. Tarzan’s aka Jon-Jon Geitel’s show was almost stolen by Matti Leino, who sings and dances the role of Terkki. His charisma pushed all the way to the back row.

The best thing about the musical is how skilfully the old story of the jungle has been transferred to this time, both in terms of theme and language. Accepting differences is still not easy.

The gorilla herd’s humor and banter are also incomparable, not to mention the dancing skills.

Phil Collins’ music is thrilling and brings back many memories.
