Review: Hildur
– –
“Hildur lives up to expectations (…)
Dramatised by Satu Rasila for the Arena stage of the Helsinki City Theatre, the performance is gentle and wise despite the heavy serial killer theme. Tuomas Parkkinen’s direction does not linger unnecessarily, but leaves room for human reflection that opens up the characters’ emotional locks and, more generally, the motives of human action. And everything goes hand in hand with gentle humour, which is not served in a pushy way, but subtly blends into the dark landscape.”
