Review: Våldets historia
Lilla Teatern’s performance of Édouard Louis’ books is a phenomenal success
★★★★★
“Acting ripples emotions and thus also shows the way to the future with young actors.”
First of all, we have to mention Patrik Kumpulainen, who dominates the first half and challenges the whole community with the gentleness of his presence, who plays the child Eddy. Next up are Andreas Kvisgaard (Eddy as an adult), Salomon Z. Patrick (Reda) and Maria Lura Srudland (sister), who are studying at the Theatre Academy. They prove to be astonishingly skilled at updating the basic drama into a truly modern one.
Also essential are Lilla Teatern’s veterans Pia Runnakko as a father and Joachim Vigelius as a mother. Guys without stereotyping.”
