Review: Jenny Hill

“The book turned wonderfully into a play! (…) Sari Haapamäki is the brilliant Jenny Hill; During the performance, I didn’t think about how well she acted, because I was completely immersed. She was Jenny down to the smallest detail, from start to finish, as a changing and living woman. (…) And the core of Minna Rytisalo’s book is clear, even brighter than the book when summarized in this way, and the presentation is exhilarating and enjoyable for both women of different ages and their husbands. Respect for the author’s perception and insight grew even more. How many Finnish authors can say that each of their works has also been made into a play? I can’t think of anyone else besides Minna but Pajtim Statovci.”
