Review: & Julia

“The magnificent & Julia reinvents a classic tale with a bang (…)

The lights, colours, costumes and constant movement transform the Main Stage into something close to a pop concert at times. And then there is the ensemble: a young company brimming with strength, joy and energy that reaches all the way into the auditorium. (…)

Beneath all the sparkle, humour and pop music lies a wonderfully warm message: everyone should have the right to write their own next chapter. Ultimately, this is a story about empowerment and finding yourself. (…)

& Julia is a colourful, fast-paced and joyful musical that quite literally gets your feet tapping. The band sounds fantastic, and the ensemble dances with such energy that, at times, staying seated feels like entirely the wrong way to take part in the evening.”
