Missing people

There is little on stage; simple sets, three actors, the protagonist Lempi as just the swinging hems of a dress and a voice. That is enough.

The play, based on Minna Rytisalo’s novel Lempi, draws a picture of wartime human relationships and their randomness, the cruelty of war, love and the longing for it. The performance is intense and strong, making you understand humanity and the past. That’s a lot.
