Review: När Baba faller i poolen är kl. 23.47
“Atarah puts her heart and soul into the role and keeps up the momentum all the way to the finish line. She bounces back and forth across the stage, making the dense monologue, packed with slang and loanwords from at least three different languages, feel natural and effortless.
She is at her best when bringing the siblings’ exuberant bickering to life during a tedious walk. As mentioned, Galván has no lines of his own, but he imbues the ageing working-class father’s stiff, broken-down body and stubborn pride with touching gravitas and weight, even when his features are concealed behind the rabbit mascot’s vacantly grinning death mask.”
