4. BASIS FOR MAINTAINING THE REGISTER
A person has booked and/or purchased tickets for Helsinki City Theatre events, subscribed to Helsinki City Theatre’s electronic communications and/or participated in Helsinki City Theatre’s customer service interactions and/or marketing campaigns.
5. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA AND MAINTAINING THE REGISTER
The purpose of the register is to process customer service requests, deliver products and services ordered by customers, and manage customer relationships. The data may be used to develop Helsinki City Theatre’s operations, for statistical purposes, and to provide more personalised content through our online services. Personal data is processed within the limits permitted and required by the Personal Data Act.
The data in the register may be used in Helsinki City Theatre’s own operations to send admission tickets, electronic communications, event information, booking details and customer mailings, as well as to process customer service requests, for example through ticket sales, customer service chat, instant messaging services, telephone or email. Helsinki City Theatre may use partners to maintain customer and service relationships. Due to technical requirements, some of the data in the register may be transferred to a partner’s server.
Helsinki City Theatre is entitled to publish data contained in the customer service register as an electronic or printed list unless the customer specifically prohibits this. A list may refer, for example, to mailing labels for a customer magazine. 6. DATA CONTAINED IN THE REGISTER
Depending on the type of customer service interaction, the customer service register may contain some of the following types of data:

- Name of the organisation represented by the person

- Details of products booked and/or purchased
- Booking number
- Customer number
- Person’s feedback, competition entry, audience comment, question, message or

7. REGULAR SOURCES OF DATA FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REGISTER
Customer data is regularly obtained:
• Directly from the customer through the system, by email, telephone, form or other similar means
• As entered by a register administrator or partner

8. DATA RETENTION PERIOD
We retain customer data only for as long as necessary for the purposes specified in section 5 and in accordance with applicable legislation.
9. PROCESSORS OF PERSONAL DATA
Access to the register requires user credentials and a password for the information systems of Helsinki City Theatre, its partners or its technical service provider. Within Helsinki City Theatre’s organisation, access to the register is restricted to persons whose duties require them to use the data contained in the register.
10. TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EU OR THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA
Personal data may be transferred outside the European Union when necessary to ensure the technical operation of Helsinki City Theatre or its partners. When data is transferred outside the European Union, we ensure that personal data is adequately protected as required by law.
11. REGULAR DISCLOSURE OF DATA
Data in the customer service register is used only by Helsinki City Theatre, except when Helsinki City Theatre uses an external partner to provide a service. In connection with ticket sales, Helsinki City Theatre’s external ticketing partners use personal data for their own purposes when providing services, insofar as data obtained through ticket sales is stored in the ticketing partner’s own ticket sales system and customer register, and the ticketing partner processes personal data for its own commercial purposes.
If we merge or otherwise reorganise our operations, customers’ personal data may be transferred within the new organisation.
12. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING AND PROFILING
Profiling and automated decision-making may be used in our marketing campaigns.
13. COOKIES AND THE COLLECTION OF WEB USAGE DATA
We may collect data about users’ devices through cookies and other similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage. A cookie is a small text file stored by the browser on the user’s device. Cookies often contain an anonymous, unique identifier that allows us to identify and count the browsers visiting our website.

16. PRINCIPLES OF REGISTER SECURITY
Manual materials relating to the register are stored in secure premises. Data recorded and processed digitally is stored in databases protected by firewalls, passwords and other technical measures. The databases are located in premises monitored around the clock. Within Helsinki City Theatre’s organisation, access to the register is restricted to persons whose duties require them to use the data contained in the register.

HELSINKI CITY THEATRE SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITIONS
1. Organiser:
Helsinki City Theatre, Första linjen 2, 00530 HELSINGFORS (hereinafter the “Organiser”).
2. Eligibility
Helsinki City Theatre’s social media competitions are open to individuals aged 18 or over who reside in Finland. Participation in social media competitions does not require the purchase of Helsinki City Theatre’s products or services.
The Organiser’s employees and their family members may not participate in social media competitions.
3. Participation in social media competitions
Participants may enter social media competitions at www.facebook.com/hkt.fi or www.facebook.com/helsinkidancecompany or www.facebook.com/lilla.teatern, or on pages related to subscribing to electronic communications, in accordance with the instructions provided.
Each person may enter each social media competition only once.
The social media competitions are not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook.
4. Competition period
The competition period for each social media competition is stated in the relevant campaign post or entry instructions. Reactions registered after the competition period will not be considered in the relevant social media competition. The Organiser is not responsible for any obstacles to participation on social media caused by technical issues.
5. Prizes
The prize is a package of complimentary tickets to a performance at Helsinki City Theatre. The prize will be won by one or more persons selected at random from among the participants. The winners will be selected by compiling a list of the profiles of persons who entered the social media competition during the competition period and randomly selecting a profile using the random.org service.
6. Notification of winners and receipt of prizes
Helsinki City Theatre will contact the winner through a Facebook status update or by email. If the prize notification does not reach the winner, if a posted prize is returned to the Organiser due to incorrect contact details or another delivery issue, or if the winner is found to have breached these rules, a new winner will be selected at random.
The Organiser has the right to disqualify from the social media competition and prize draw any participants who attempt to misuse the competition by influencing the results.
7. Organiser’s liability
By accepting a prize, the winner releases the Organiser from all liability and costs that may arise from participating in a social media competition or accepting or using a prize. However, this limitation of liability does not diminish the consumer’s rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
The Organiser’s liability towards participants is limited to the number and value of the prize awarded in a social media competition. The winner is responsible for all other possible costs associated with accepting or redeeming the prize.
The Organiser will pay the statutory lottery tax on the prizes referred to in these rules. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or another product.
By participating in a social media competition, participants agree to comply with these rules and the Organiser’s decisions. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the rules by announcing the changes on its website.
8. Processing and use of personal data for direct marketing
Contact details collected in a competition will be used solely for the social media competition and communications relating to it, except where the competition is organised among subscribers to Helsinki City Theatre’s electronic communications.
