35 jag och några skådespelare
An interactive experienceOBS! Inte längre i repertoaren!
In “35 Me and Some Actors”, seven actresses will practically share the actress’s professional secrets – experiences from the theatre’s 2500-year-old tradition – in order to give the participants tools and strategies to facilitate their own self-representation online.
From the working group’s memo: “On the need for revolutionary training”
As a consequence of the increased use of so-called “social media” by so-called “private individuals”, it is the working group’s recommendation that “private individuals” receive training in the use of “social media”.
Guidelines:
• The purpose of the training is to make the “private person” an agent of the revolution. (Working Group Doctrine 1: Seeing the Internet as a Potential Feminist Utopia.)
• The training should be adapted according to the individual conditions of the “private person”, in order to optimize the individual “private person’s” effort for the fight. (Working Group Doctrine 2: Inclusion as a Gathering of Forces.)
• The training must be based on the voluntary participation and active co-creation of a “private person”. (Working Group Doctrine 3: Revolution is a voluntary act.)
“Private individuals” who sign up have further instructions to wait.
The internet can be likened to a theatre where we all act and look at each other. In “35 Me and Some Actors”, the physical theatre space is filled with specially adapted interactive stations, where the audience is guided in how they can construct and rehearse their internet persona and what social codes can be used to make the internet a feminist utopia.
“35 Me and Some Actors” is a playful, interactive performance that seriously wants to explore the psychological and ethical dilemmas and the political potential that exist in the digital public sphere, where everyone has the opportunity to portray their own subject.
