I’VE BEEN TRYING FOR WEEKS FOR A YEAR TO DECIDE
WHAT I WOULD SAY ON THIS TOPIC
AND HOW CAN I PUT IT IN A CIVILIZED WAY?
SO THAT IT WOULD GET THROUGH The beginning, the middle, the end, is an anarchist speech performance in which an actor presents the text of a play to the audience prima vista, i.e. seeing it for the first time.
The performance draws on frustration with the boredom of theatre and the way of life of straight people. It is a proposal for a different kind of theatre that tests the boundaries of moderation and incompleteness. The artistic starting point of the work was to explore what it is like to write without self-criticism or self-censorship, and how to bring such a text to the audience. The end result combines reading drama, spoken word, DIY aesthetics, a power point show and a piano concerto.
