Deep in the forest live Bladis pojkan. They have a vast expanse of woodland and the right to hunt there all year round. They help themselves to firewood wherever there is too much of it, shoot game and do not shy away from blackmail or arson. Over time, their criminal record grows longer – as does the list of stories about them.
But then Hannes Blad steals a hare from a boy named Jakob. Jakob sets out to confront Bladis pojkan and is drawn into their activities, despite his mother’s best efforts to stop him. Before long, Jakob is one of Bladis pojkan. But is that what he wants – and does he have any choice? And why is Jakob’s father calling out?
A storytelling performance written and performed by Erik Kiviniemi about right and wrong, freedom and responsibility, and growing up to become a man with soft hands.

Bladis pojkan premiered at Wasa Teater in autumn 2020 to a warm reception. It has since become a popular touring production.
