Dilemma is a dialogue between two people about life’s great and small decisions. Although the conversation offers no definitive answers, listening to another person opens up possibilities for different ways of being.
Dilemma is a performance about conversation, indecision and the difficulty of making choices. A chance encounter between two friends, or perhaps lovers, or two people who barely know each other, sparks a subtle dialogue about life’s great and small decisions. As the performance unfolds, the conversation flows from one subject to another, goes around in circles, breaks off, gets stuck and repeatedly drifts towards questions that remain unresolved.
Masi Tiitta has previously worked as a choreographer, performer and dramaturg, as well as in a variety of working groups. His works have been presented in the contexts of dance, performance art and visual art, including at Baltic Circle, Nykytaidetila Kutomo, Mad House Helsinki and Zodiak – Uuden tanssin keskus.

Stage for Contemporary Performance is a pilot project taking place at Studio Pasila in 2022 and 2023. It brings different forms of contemporary performance into Helsinki City Theatre’s programme. In 2023, the Stage for Contemporary Performance programme comprises three premieres and two guest performances. The pilot project is supported by Koneen Säätiö.
