An evening of newly written songs and theatre classics

Join Jonna Järnefelt on a musical journey through the theatre as she celebrates 30 years on stage. The concert grew out of an idea Jonna has been developing for 2-3 years: performing favourite songs from throughout her magnificent career together with her favourite musicians. Some of the songs have been written especially for Jonna and for this concert! These include songs composed by Markku Luuppala, Eeva Kontu, Jukka Nylund, Jussi Tuurna, Jukka Leppilampi and Laura Sippola, as well as enduring favourites by Ahlfors and Weill and selected pieces from Kielletyt laulut (Helsinki City Theatre 2009). The evening is about songs, encounters with people and fleeting moments – and the impossibility of choosing one side of a bilingual identity when you want both. About stopping and staying.
