We are living in the future, a few decades from the present. The Arena stage has been converted into a retirement home, where the actors of the City Theatre spend their days under the strict observation of a caretaker. But when the caretaker’s eye avoids it, the grey ramp panthers come to life. It’s wonderful to be together with the whole group, and reminisce about the past! And they have something to remember, as each has already celebrated its 90th birthday.

If your memory doesn’t always work and you don’t get your foot up like in the early decades of the 2000s in musicals on the big stage, then the singing voice hasn’t been gnawed by the ravages of time! And there are plenty of songs – all the way back to the 1960s, all the best hits of the decades!

Forever Young is like a retirement home’s Just Life, where each actor is the artist of the day, and together they reminisce about the antics of youth.

What is life like now that the days are filled with being? Do we get old when we turn old enough? Or will we always stay the same after all, forever young?

In this boisterous, wistful musical comedy, you will come to terms with your aging, or better understand your parents’ taste in music, laugh and almost find yourself singing along as the Arena stage blasts the most famous hits of the past decades. The viewer will notice that it’s wonderful to be young – even when you’re old!

The performance will feature a bunch of hits from different decades, from Finland and around the world. Performers include Artist’s Life, Stayin’ Alive, Beautiful, Rowdy, Happy, Two Trees, Forever Young, Tango of Fate, I’m Strong.
