Comedian Iikka Kivi’s stand-up solo show A Special Relationship with Nature awakens Finns to experience, cherish and protect their own relationship with nature, and asks how the descendants of the people of bear hunters turned barnacle geese into stressed e-scooters.
The cheerful and prickly performance features a large number of Finnish creatures, from dwindling willow to the rapidly increasing number of summer cottage dwellers. Although the subject is serious and the state of nature is poor, the performance does not focus on preaching or waving a finger of blame, but above all aims to inspire, find solutions and encourage people to find their own relationship with nature.
