Ilmasta rahaa is a true farce classic – an explosive comedy packed with lightning-fast plot twists, hilarious misunderstandings and a healthy dose of famous door-slamming.

Mikko Laine (Pekka Strang) lost his job years ago, but being a resourceful man, he has found a new way to make money: defrauding the social welfare authorities out of every benefit imaginable. Thousands are paid out to fictitious claimants, with the money ending up in Mikko’s pockets.

Until one day, Kela inspector Jantunen (Emilia Sinisalo) arrives for a surprise visit. The elaborate scheme that has worked perfectly for years threatens to collapse in an instant, and Mikko finds himself caught in such a tangled web of lies that escape seems impossible.

And that’s not all.

As Mikko struggles to wriggle out of his predicament, he drags his friend Otto Pelli (Janne Kataja) into the deception too. Their explanations only create an ever-thickening stew of excuses, while more and more uninvited visitors begin pouring into Mikko’s flat, each one further complicating an already chaotic situation.

The unbelievable mayhem is resolved in a surprising way – but not before a string of delicious twists guaranteed to have you roaring with laughter!
