Kekkonen is determined to secure another term as president and ruthlessly exploits his ties with Russia to orchestrate domestic politics. But Russia is an unpredictable dance partner, and at the height of the Note Crisis, Kekkonen himself is far removed from Finland’s political machinations – in Hawaii.
Starring Eero Aho, this new Finnish drama portrays an iconic statesman at major turning points in history and offers a fascinating perspective on the absurd political culture of the Kekkonen era.
