The general, who has betrayed his king and failed in his marriages, meets the legendary Casanova in a magical novelty play.

The play’s writer and director Pasi Lampela sums up the fates of the Marquise, the General and the adventurer in clear sentences: they are stuck between the front lines, there is no past, they are detached from their reality. The Marquise has fled the revolution in Paris and is seeking a new role as a modern woman intellectually, sexually and emotionally. Sprengtporten is waiting for the task from the Russian empress, cursed by her former king. As a tragicomic figure, Casanova walks towards the end of his destiny – but with his last strength, he writes himself into world history.
