A comic duel packed with rapid twists and turns that keep you guessing who has the upper hand. And what about the wife?

Lainavaimo tells the story of an ordinary man, Antti Jaskari (Pekka Strang), who goes to the bank to apply for a loan amid an urgent cash crisis. However, the bank manager (Sampo Sarkola) decides to turn down his application. Without hesitation, Antti resorts to more drastic measures, making an unexpected and highly personal threat—one that could have catastrophic consequences for the bank manager’s marriage. This sets the stage for a true comic duel, where rapid twists and surprising circumstances ensure that you never know who will gain the upper hand next. The play was written by Catalan playwright Jordi Galceran, who also wrote the audience favourite Grönholms metod/Pudotuspeli, staged at Lilla Teatern in 2006-2007. In August, Galceran received the 2014 Ceres Award for Best Playwright for Lainavaimo.
