Life Your As is a performance filled with black humor, big emotions and a lot of anxiety. We move in the borderland between the Joy of Life and the Great Pain, a place that many of us have been in, not least because of the expectations and demands our time places on us.

In the performance, Blaue Frau returns to Nina Hemmingsson’s peculiar imagery, where the humour is both savage and laconic. This time in the company of Gunnar Lundkvist, the man behind the pitch-black comic books about Klas Katt.

We meet the Pig, the Poodle, the Tree and the Girl, all four of whom are hopelessly lousy at so-called normal situations and relationships. They do their best to blend in with the residential area, at the party and in the public space – but there are simply people who always want a little too much, who misunderstand other people’s intentions and like to rub themselves a little too long against a partner when there is a party going on.

On stage: Boel Marie Larsson from Sweden, Herman Nyby, master’s student at the Theatre Academy and Sonja Ahlfors and Joanna Wingren from Blaue Frau.

Blaue Fraus’ previous Nina Hemmingson dramatizations I Am Your Girlfriend Now (2008) and My Beautiful Eyes (2012) were both acclaimed successes and they made guest appearances at the Stockholm City Theatre and the Royal Dramatic Theatre, among others.
