Luonnon laki

A fiercely serious and divinely humorous play. Nature has its laws and man has his nature.
Kari Hotakainen’s The Law of Nature throws the viewer into the middle of a situation in which the private and the personal suddenly become part of a larger social reality. There is a crash on the road, and geothermal heating entrepreneur Rautala (Pertti Sveholm) is transported to another reality. Common banknotes are running out, and cuts in central government finances affect everyone. Practical measures are led by the Cutter, who has left the grey house and whose task is painful: how to tell a nicely ugly thing to ministers and citizens? And how does a young man coming to Finland from Sierra Leone via Sweden see all this? In this work, horror and beauty, life and death, crying and laughter change places at lightning speed. The Law of Nature is a fiercely serious and divinely humorous play. Nature has its laws, man has its nature, and Hotakainen has a perspective that few people have.
