Maria and Hermann Braun get married in the midst of the Allied bombardment. The very next day, they are separated from each other. First of the war, then of prison when Hermann takes the blame for a murder committed by Maria. At the mercy of the ruins of the post-war era, where hunger dictates morality, Maria enters the business world, armed with seduction and intelligence.
With each passing day, her appetite for power, money and status grows. Maria Braun’s Marriage is also a love story about an unfinished love with repressed and excluded emotions that eventually have fatal consequences.
