An ecological love story about life’s defining decisions and its laughable details. Nästa andetag is a play that explores global issues through stripped-back theatrical means and personal choices. Two actors, one text and a musical world that reaches across time and space. Do something before your next breath becomes your last. Why is it so hard to breathe? – A discussion about guilt, love and ecology with Joel Backström and the actors. Following the revival premiere of Nästa andetag on 15.3, the audience is invited to join a discussion about the performance – and about guilt, love and ecology. No separate registration is required for the discussion, which will take place in the auditorium after the performance. Joel Backström is a philosopher specialising in ethics and contemporary social criticism. He works as an independent researcher and teaches part-time at the University of Helsinki and the Theatre Academy. He is also a freelance translator, columnist and radio contributor.
