Norge på Lillan

May 17 is Norway’s National Day, and is celebrated by Norwegians and Norwegian descendants around the world. Norway at Lillan is a musical performance with gems from the Norwegian popular music treasure.
Emma Klingenberg and Henrik Huldén, together with musicians Martin Segerstråle, Niklas Nylund and Guido Jäger, offer a performance with Norwegian songs translated into Swedish by Henrik Huldén. There will be songs by, among others. Lillebjørn Nilsen, Mari Boine, Jan Eggum, Kari Bremnes and Øyvind Sund.

Emma Klingenberg is an actress and singer, born in Jakobstad and educated at the musical programme at the Theatre Academy in Gothenburg. Has had leading roles in e.g. at ÅST as Stormskärs Maja 2015–2016 and as Edith Piaf 2017–2018. Emma has also sung in “Ingvar!” at Svenska Teatern 2016–2017 and in Chelsea Hotel at Teater Viirus 2018–2019. Currently working on mapping Tove Jansson’s song production.
Henrik Huldén is a singer and verse poet, working with Nordic cooperation at Hanaholmen. Henrik performs in all the Nordic countries and has published children’s books, poetry books and biographies, two CDs of songs and over 750 daily verses in Hufvudstadsbladet (sign. Gromit). Wrote the lyrics to Lilla Teatern’s performance “Det ordnar sig, Sapiens” in 2017.
Martin Segerstråle is a pianist, conductor, arranger and composer, educated at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He holds a Master of Music degree from the Sibelius Academy and has studied musicology at Åbo Akademi University. Martin was the conductor of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats” in Tampere in 2017–2018 and this autumn he will lead the orchestra at the Finnish premiere of the Disney musical “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. He was the conductor of Patrick Wingren’s and Lars Sund’s musical “The Night Is Still Young” in Jakobstad in 2015. Martin has conducted the student choir Brahe Djäknar in Turku and is a sought-after accompanist.
Niklas Nylund is a guitarist, drummer and music producer based in Porvoo. He has produced music with most Finnish artists and has, among other things, been behind the music work in Svenska YLE’s children’s production MGP. Niklas has been a member of Gösta Sundqvist’s band Leavings since the 80s and is today the band’s musical director. He was also a producer for the band Hans On the Bass.
Guido Jäger is a bass player and composer in Hamburg, and through his Finnish wife he lives in Houtskär for the summer. He was educated in Lübeck, tours throughout Europe and plays everything from classical music to klezmer, ballads and jazz. Guido has played with e.g. Tom Waits, Giora Feidman and Richard Galliano, and through his collaboration with Henrik Huldén, he participated in the memorial concerts for Lars Huldén in 2017.
