A brief introduction to Nour El Refai:
Nour El Refai has been an undisputed star of the Swedish comedy scene since making her debut in the comedy show ”Raj Raj” in 2005. Since then, she has appeared in numerous major theatre, musical and stand-up productions. Among other things, she has hosted Melodifestivalen and Morgopasset, appeared as a panellist on Parlamentet and Masked Singer, played Mozart in Amadeus and Lillebror in Karlsson på taket at Dramaten, appeared on the big screen in ”Lyrro” and starred in TV series including ”Bonusfamiljen”, ”SoFo” and this year’s Christmas calendar series ”Trolltider – legenden om Bergatrollet”. Two years ago, she also launched the popular podcast ”Nours poddelipodd. Och Henrik”.
In 2016–2017, Nour performed her acclaimed one-woman show ”En Komisk Depression” 85 times for more than 40 000 people. In 2019, ”Störst av allt” premiered and played to sold-out audiences before the pandemic brought it to a halt. Now, at long last, El Refai is returning to the stage with a new stand-up show premiering this autumn. Her work as a comedian has earned her the title of ”Årets kvinnliga komiker” at Standupgalan, as well as Humorgalan nominations for ”Årets komiker” and ”Årets föreställning” for ”En komisk depression”.
