Nuori Näyttämö festival 2. – 3.5. Exciting new plays for young people, performed by young people.
Young performers will take over Studio Pasila during the first weekend in May for Helsinki’s Nuori Näyttämö festival. Over two days, audiences will have a unique opportunity to see six new productions by young people. Nuori Näyttämö is a nationwide theatre project that brings young theatre enthusiasts together with theatre professionals and playwrights. The project’s playwrights are Anna Krogerus, Ari-Pekka Lahti, Tuomas Timonen and Tove Appelgren. They have written plays for young people aged 13–19, which youth groups have staged with the support of professional theatres. Six Finnish professional theatres are participating in the Nuori Näyttämö project, which runs from 2013 to 2015, including Helsinki City Theatre. For more information, please contact Mirja Neuvonen, Head of Audience Development at Helsinki City Theatre: mirja.neuvonen@hkt.fi, tel. 040 352 3969. The project is organised by Työväen Näyttämöiden Liitto r.y. Read more at http://nuorinayttamo.info/
