Two couples of friends who live next door are preparing to spend their usual boring evening at home. However, the temperamental Laura informs her husband Billy that she is going to spend the evening at the opera with her former admirer. Jack from the neighboring couple also wants to have fun and disappears to the club, leaving the mouse-like Blany alone at home. When the fun-loving spouses have run off to their activities, Billy and Blanny, who have been left at home, are left behind to spend the evening alone. They decide to tear up for once and get down to business by mixing all the alcoholic beverages they can find in the house into cocktails. But because they are completely inexperienced with alcohol, and unaccustomed to especially insidious mixtures, the result is one of the most masterful and funny scenes in playwriting. When the returnees find the house partygoers who have fallen asleep, the pace of events increases. There are plenty of explanations and the next morning brings surprises that have never been experienced before.
