Özz Nûjen är RIKARD III
Huom! Poistunut ohjelmistosta!
One of Sweden’s greatest comedians freely interprets William Shakespeare
The Duke of Gloucester, future King Richard III, is power-hungry, manipulative and bitter – with a strange attraction to the women and men around him. The road to the royal crown is filled with political mishaps, rebellions and intrigues in a bloody family drama. What happens to power, who has power and where are you when power controls everything and everyone? Watch Özz Nûjen play all the roles in the classic drama Richard III, freely after William Shakespeare. “A fantastic play that says a lot about our present and our future. The reason why I’m doing the play is because I want to do all the roles myself, because just like Richard III, I’m just as selfish and want all the glory, all by myself!” says Özz Nûjen. Nûjen is not only one of Sweden’s biggest standup comedians who has made successes such as “Bad Mood” and “Prime Minister Özz Nûjen” and won awards as male comedian of the year etc., but is also an acclaimed actor. Critically acclaimed most recently as the transsexual Molina in The Kiss of the Spider Woman at Uppsala City Theatre in the autumn of 2014/spring of 2015. Other performances that Özz Nûjen has achieved great success with include his role as Puck in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Uppsala City Theatre and in Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo’s play Mistero Buffo, directed by Björn Granath.
