Do you know that feeling when you have to take care of a task that requires concentration and from somewhere the most tiring person in the world gets on your feet to roll around, vent their midlife crisis, marital problems, seek pity, attention and empathy? Then do your job in it.
The Assassin’s Nightmare is a highly tuned farce comedy about two men who stay in adjacent hotel rooms. One is a professional killer and the other is a self-destructive wretch, abandoned by his wife.
The task of an international-level hitman is to deal with a difficult witness leaving the courthouse opposite. In the next room, a photographer from a rural village newspaper who is contemplating suicide and has just found out that his wife has gone on a trip with her psychiatrist. Therefore, it is only natural that it is the hitman who has to take care of the self-destructive nuisance of the neighboring room, wallowing in his midlife crisis, before he can take care of his own task.
Along with his new best friend, the murder professional is chagrinized by a motley cast of other eager meddlers – hotel staff, a doctor, an ex-wife and a police officer. Newcomers accelerate insane situations towards the unbridled climax of this chaotic and extremely entertaining farce.
The performance rights of the play are supervised by Drama Corner – Nordic Drama Corner Oy.
