Rasande Stillestånd
Lilla Teatern in collaboration with the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts HelsinkiOBS! Inte längre i repertoaren!
The performance begins with an impromptu prologue 20 minutes before the performance begins
Two seekers meet and inspire each other. One is spurred into action, the other’s flame goes out. In an age of limitless possibilities, the room for manoeuvre is becoming ever narrower, and a spiritual and social struggle develops in parallel throughout history.
Based on texts by Edith Södergran and Hagar Olsson, director Rasmus Slätis and the students examine man’s longing for freedom and his place in the cosmos.
The questions and passions that were aroused during the beginning of modernity have today, a hundred years later, reached a kind of climax – a Furious Truce. A contemporary interpretation of classical poetry with elements of dance, music, movement, aesthetics and improvisational elements.
In connection with the last performance on 14.5.2022, there will be talks and an open stage. Read more here.
