The Mexican hairless dog Bella lives on Lighthouse Island together with her owner Selma, who is a lighthouse keeper. With a storm, Tahvo the cat arrives on the island in his bathtub boat, and he really wants to impress Bella. Bella introduces Tahvo to life on the island and tells him about the lighthouse. Selma is resting with a cold when the lighthouse light goes out. Tahvo and Bella are in a hurry to get the light bulb back on before the ships run aground. The friends manage to save the situation, and Selma asks Tahvo to stay with them on the island.
