The rise and fall of Wikileaks – a dense play about how the actions of individual people shape world history

Based on documentary sources, the intense online – The rise and bust of Wikileaks follows the chain of events around Julian Assange, the founder of the internet disclosure site Wikileaks. WikiLeaks is a website founded in 2006 that can be used to leak documents from authorities and companies to the public. Not everyone likes making revelations, and Assange’s actions soon attracted the attention of those in power and the desire to stop the revelations. The play accurately describes a series of events in which the net around Assange began to tighten and he was suspected of sexual crimes committed in Sweden. Online – The rise and defiance of Wikileaks is a topical play about how the actions of individuals shape world history.
