A gem of musicals! Beautiful, touching music and warm, life-affirming humour wing the beloved story.

The events of the musical Fiddler on the Roof take place in the village of Anatevka in early 1900s Ukraine. Poor milk merchant Tevye (Esko Roine) and his wife Golde (Riitta Havukainen) have five beautiful daughters, whom their father would like to marry according to Jewish tradition. The eldest daughter already knows a suitable groom, but her heart would choose otherwise. The father tries to preserve his family’s traditions in a changing world, and life is complicated by the worsening persecution of Jews in Tsarist Russia.
