Pekka Louhio began his dance studies at the Ballet School of the Finnish National Opera and continued at the Department of Dance at the Theatre Academy in 2004–2007. Louhio worked as a dancer and assistant at Tommi Kitti & Company from 2007 to 2010. Since 2009, Louhio has been a guest in numerous works by the Tero Saarinen Company, and he is especially remembered for his lead role in Tero Saarinen’s Kullervo at the Finnish National Opera. Louhio has danced with Carl Knif Company since 2014 and also with several other choreographers, such as Susanna Leinonen, Sari Palmgren and Petri Kekoni. At the Helsinki City Theatre, she has performed in musicals such as Mary Poppins and As in Heaven, as well as in dance performances Two-Colour Fugue, Three Works from Contact and Lomonosov’s Motor (2022).
