Dancers

Pekka Louhio began his dance studies at the Finnish National Opera Ballet School and continued at the Theatre Academy’s Department of Dance from 2004 to 2007. Louhio worked as a dancer and assistant with Tommi Kitti & Company from 2007 to 2010. Since 2009, he has appeared in numerous works by Tero Saarinen Company and is particularly remembered for his leading role in Tero Saarinen’s Kullervo at the Finnish National Opera. Louhio has danced with Carl Knif Company since 2014 and has also worked with several other choreographers, including Susanna Leinonen, Sari Palmgren and Petri Kekoni. At Helsinki City Theatre, he has appeared in musicals such as Maija Poppanen and Niin kuin taivaassa, as well as in the dance productions Kaksivärinen fuuga, Kolme teosta kontaktista and Lomonosovin moottori (2022).
