In the spring of 2022, the Helsinki City Theatre organised a competition to find new Finnish comedy texts. The winner was Salla Viikka's play proposal Lainaystävä.

On 24 October, it will be 20 years since the premiere of the play Stones in the Pocket, starring Martti Suosalo and Mika Nuojua.
