Materials for educational use

Here you will find a range of materials designed for educational use. They are suitable both for classroom teaching and as support for remote learning.

The materials make use of drama exercises, writing and visual arts assignments, as well as videos and interviews from Helsinki City Theatre’s Backstage website. The materials are free of charge and freely available for you to use. You can also explore the archive at the bottom of the page, which contains learning materials for productions that are no longer in the programme. Teatteri tutuksi draaman keinoin

Age group: primary and lower secondary school pupils.

This teacher’s resource consists of videos, interviews and a variety of drama activities in which pupils gradually create their own character. Through the activities, pupils explore the different professions and areas of theatre. The resource is based on Helsinki City Theatre’s Backstage website.

Olipa kerran lapsi – Tutkimusmatka lapsen maailmaan

Age group: preschool children and pupils in grades 1–3.

This teacher’s resource explores the world of children through fairy tales and soundscapes. Children can invent their own stories and enrich their imaginary worlds through a variety of soundscape and visual arts activities. The resource also includes two ready-made fairy-tale videos. The activities can also be adapted for younger or older children.
