The artist at work

In early 2023, Helsinki City Theatre’s audience engagement team launched a new broadcast series, Tekijä työnsä äärellä. The series meets theatre employees in their everyday working environments and explores topics such as how the theatre’s artistic worlds are created, how the programme is put together, how performers prepare for a performance, and what theatre employees enjoy most about their work.

The broadcasts can be viewed on Helsinki City Theatre’s YouTube channel, where the recordings will remain available for two weeks after each broadcast.

Tekijä työnsä äärellä is part of the Taidetta ikääntyneiden koteihin project, which brings participatory arts activities into the daily lives of older Helsinki residents. The project offers a variety of opportunities to engage with art, both remotely and face to face. Taidetta ikääntyneiden koteihin is part of Helsinki City Theatre’s audience engagement programme and is funded by the City of Helsinki.
