Valo piirtää kasvojesi uurteet -etänäyttely
Helsinki City Theatre’s Valo piirtää kasvojesi uurteet photographic series grew out of encounters between artists and older people as part of the Taidetta ikääntyneiden koteihin project. The exhibition highlights nine stories of older Helsinki residents living at home. The exhibition opened at Kauppakeskus Redi in spring 2022 and has since toured different parts of Helsinki.
In autumn 2022, the photographic exhibition was adapted into a video, with actors reading the stories of the people portrayed.

The Taidetta ikääntyneiden koteihin project provides participatory arts activities together with older Helsinki residents. The project has brought people together through art in a variety of ways, both remotely and face to face. Taidetta ikääntyneiden koteihin is part of Helsinki City Theatre’s audience engagement programme. The project is funded by the City of Helsinki.
Thank you to everyone who was photographed and shared their story!
