Aku Hirviniemi withdraws from Helsinki City Theatre’s production of Money from the Air
Actor Aku Hirviniemi will not participate in the Helsinki City Theatre’s production of Ilmasta raha. The theatre has come to this decision after serious consideration.
The theatre wants to guarantee peace of mind for the play rehearsals starting in December and does not accept inappropriate behaviour in any form. Rehearsals for the play Ilmasta raha will begin as planned on 4 December, and the theatre will appoint another actor to replace Hirviniemi.
Michael Cooney’s farce Money from the Air is directed by Sari Siikander on the big stage of the Helsinki City Theatre and stars Helena Haaranen, Heidi Herala, Pekka Huotari, Risto Kaskilahti, Janne Kataja, Jari Pehkonen, Raili Raitala, Sanna Saarijärvi and Emilia Sinisalo. The theatre announces the actor who will replace Hirviniemi on its website.
The classic of farces will premiere on 15 February 2024 on the big stage of the Helsinki City Theatre.
