Helsinki City Theatre cancels its performance activities for late spring 2020

Helsinki City Theatre cancels all its performances in late spring 2020 due to the coronavirus epidemic. Just over a week ago, the theatre cancelled performances until 13 April. Now the rest of the performances in April-May will also be cancelled.

“The situation is very unfortunate not only for the theatre and its staff and audience, but also for society as a whole. In spite of everything, we want to look forward to the coming autumn with confidence. We will work together and organise our operations so that we can continue our performance activities in the autumn and hold the planned premieres,” says Theatre Director Kari Arffman.

The theatre will contact customers who have tickets for cancelled performances, and tickets will be refunded to customers. Customers can also exchange their tickets for a gift card through the Lippupiste system: https://hkt.fi/lippupisteen-ohjeistus/.

In this exceptional situation, the theatre hopes that customers will exchange tickets for cancelled performances primarily for autumn plays or gift cards. The gift card is valid for one year from the date of exchange, and it is valid for all performances of the Helsinki City Theatre on all five stages.
