Helsinki City Theatre to start co-operation negotiations

Helsinki City Theatre will start co-operation negotiations. The theatre has cancelled its performances until 13 April due to the coronavirus situation, which has an immediate impact on the theatre’s finances.

In terms of the theatre’s performance activities and finances, there are exceptional and significant threats due to the coronavirus Covid-19. For this reason, the theatre must take the necessary measures to balance its finances and secure future operations. The co-operation negotiations apply to the entire staff of the theatre and its duties.

“We aim to organise our activities so that when the situation calms down, we can resume our performance activities as quickly as possible. We are trying to find solutions that are as humane as possible for the staff in this difficult situation for all of us,” says Theatre Director Kari Arffman.
