The sequel to the popular comedy Saikkua, kiitos! More Saikkua, please! will have its long-awaited Helsinki premiere on 12 February at the Helsinki City Theatre’s studio Pasila.
Written and directed by Mikko Kivinen, Ville Keskilä and Kalle Pylvänäinen, and co-directed with Otto Kanerva, the novelty draws wistful humour from everyday encounters between healthcare professionals and patients at doctor’s offices, just like its predecessor.
New songs written by the world-conquering stand-up comedian Ismo Leikola will be interpreted by Duo Aspirin as usual, and there will be a lot of new and unresearched material on an inexhaustible topic – Finnish health care, doctors, nurses, patients, illnesses, prejudices, not forgetting the current health and social services reform, of course.
The play Saikkua, kiitos! by the same team was performed 40 times in Studio Pasila in 2017. Over the past few years, the popular touring performance was seen by more than 90,000 spectators, and it toured to full audiences around Finland and abroad for 300 performances. The sequel, More Saikkua, please! premiered in September 2017 at Teatteri Rio in Oulu.
More, please! Premiere 12.2.2018 at 7 p.m. at the Helsinki City Theatre’s studio in Pasila (Ratamestarinkatu 5)
