Welcome to the Forest Christmas press conference on Tuesday 17 September 2019 at 16-17 at the Helsinki City Theatre’s studio Elsa (First Line 2)
Welcome to hear about the unique collaboration between ShedHelsinki and Helsinki City Theatre and the new musical theatre performance that will premiere in December. Theatre Director Kari Arffman and Project Manager Riikka Kannas will talk about the cooperation. The musical Christmas in the Forest will be presented by director Heikki Sankari and his team. Special guests Dave Carey (Senior Creative Producer – Music), Michael Bossisse (teacher) and Benjamin Nicholas Bland (student) from ShedHelsinki’s Chickenshed Theatre will also be present.

Helsinki City Theatre’s and ShedHelsinki’s musical theatre performance Forest Christmas , which deviates from the mainstream and takes special needs children into account, brings children and young people’s perspective on climate change to the theatre stage. The Finnish musical theatre novelty is a Christmas story about a surprising friendship and the importance of forests.
