Laughter heals – especially healthcare-related laughter

The hugely popular Saikkua, kiitos! and More Saikkua, kiitos! performances will be continued. Saikku, thank you! PART 3 will visit the Helsinki City Theatre during the spring and will premiere on 27 February at Studio Pasila.

As usual, the third part of the trilogy is written, performed and directed by Mikko Kivinen, Ville Keskilä and Kalle Pylvänäinen. Once again, there will be hilarious sketch humour about everyday encounters between healthcare professionals and patients at the doctor’s office.

“Two parts of Saikku, please! – Our trilogy has already been made, but there are still sick people in Finland, fortunately fewer than healthy ones. That is why it is worth doing this third part, as the social welfare and health care system has not yet been resolved either. Laughter prolongs life and brings health, so let’s laugh ourselves to be healthy Saikku, thank you! PART 3“, says actor and screenwriter Mikko Kivinen.

New songs written by the world-conquering stand-up comedian Ismo Leikola will once again be interpreted by Duo Aspirin, and there will be a lot of new and unresearched material on an inexhaustible topic – Finnish healthcare, doctors, nurses, patients, illnesses and prejudices.

In 2017, the play Saikkua, kiitos! by the same team of creators visited HKT’s studio Pasila, and the sequel, More Saikkua, kiitos! received the same number of performances in 2018. In addition, both plays have toured around Finland and attracted a total of more than 200,000 spectators.  The trilogy is produced by Iltama Oy.

Saikku, thank you! PART 3 premiere 27.2.2020 at 7 pm and performances until 14.5.2020 at the Helsinki City Theatre’s studio Pasila (Ratamestarinkatu 5)
