This autumn’s successful plays Men Can’t Be Raped and Once will continue in Lilla Teatern’s repertoire in the spring of 2021. The premiere of The Strange Event with the Dog at Night has been postponed to autumn 2021.

The restrictions on public events and the general uncertainty surrounding the development of the pandemic forced Lilla Teatern to rearrange the planned repertoire for 2021. The good news is that Sara Giese’s critically acclaimed direction of Märta Tikkanen’s classic Men Cannot Be Raped continues in the repertoire with six new performances.

“The demand for tickets has been high and we are pleased to be able to extend the performance period. Everyone who missed the performance this autumn now has the opportunity to see it,” says Lilla Teatern’s artistic director Jakob Höglund.

For the musical Once, which Höglund directed, extra performances were put in already this autumn and they will be supplemented with additional performances this spring.

The premiere of Paavo Westerberg’s best-selling novel The Strange Incident with the Dog at Night, originally scheduled for 4 March, has been postponed to the autumn season of 2021.

“There has been a high demand for tickets and we are happy to be able to continue the performance season of the play. Everyone who didn’t have time to see the performance in the autumn now has a new chance,” says Jakob Höglund, Artistic Director of Lilla Teatern.

Höglund’s musical Once received additional performances already in the autumn, and Once’s performance season will be supplemented with new additional performances in the spring.
