Popular doctor fun Saikkua, thank you! will return to studio Pasila in January
Saikku, thank you! The reception will open again in Studio Pasila for 12 performances in early 2023. The first performance will be seen on 26 January. It’s the hugely popular Saikkua, kiitos! trilogy.
Once again, there will be hilarious sketch humour about everyday encounters between healthcare professionals and patients at the doctor’s office. The topic is familiar to all Finns: health and illness, health centres and hospitals, doctors, patients and nurses. The brilliant actors Jukka Rasila, Ville Keskilä and Kalle Pylvänäinen appear in several roles.
Saikku, thank you! has been performed about 500 times around Finland since 2013 to more than 250,000 spectators. The performance visited the Helsinki City Theatre’s studio Pasila for the first time in 2017. Also the other parts of the trilogy, More Saikkua, please! and Saikkua, kiitos! PART 3, has been seen on stage at the Helsinki City Theatre.
“With this work, we can already talk about a unique success in our country. If you have seen the first part of this trilogy before, you can now come and see how it has been updated. Such performances are allowed to develop on tour according to the audience’s reactions. In addition, the involvement of Jukka Rasila has shaped the performance to resemble the current filmmakers,” says director Otto Kanerva .
The performance, directed by Otto Kanerva together with the working group, is written by Ismo Leikola and Kalle Pylvänäinen. The trilogy is produced by Iltama Oy.
