Phew, what a stage picture! What an orchestral sound! Which
suits! How spectacular the choreographies! What an investment for the whole family
to a fairy tale!
I watched the Helsinki City Theatre’s

Cinderella’s half-sisters
performed by Petriikka Pohjanheimo and Sanna
Saarijärvi make the sisters a bit simple, but funny
manhunters. There is not much emphasis on meanness, which feels good.
Risto Kaskilahti is convincing as slick and comical
Marshal of the Court. Kristiina Elstelä makes a godmother
Millamagia-like miracle worker. Magic tricks are really
startling.
Riitta Havukainen
and Eero Saarinen fit exhilaratingly human traits
royal couple. Those pants have to fall to the ankles once,
